AMD 4

For this weeks AMD I decided to use my favorite procrastination site stumbleupon.com. The interest I choose to explore was German and there was a good mix of sites in English and in Deutsch. One site had a list of 69 fun German facts; some of my favorites were: Beer is officially considered a food in Bavaria, 31% of the country remains forests and woodlands, the first printed book was in German, and the longest german word is 'Donaudampfschifffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft', but I couldn't find what it means. Also i discovered that in Germany's Black Forest there is a barefoot park where one walks a long trail that is composed of many different types of surfaces, such as: sand, mulch, grass, glass, and mud. One site said that there are no drive through ATM's at all in Germany! Ach so! One thing not mentioned in our textbook is that Heidelbirg has the largest wine barrel in the world! Thumbs up in Germany means one and Germans don't like the informal kiss to say hello. That is the end of my random list of interesting facts.
